    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

From the description, it appears that there are two services running in the background.

    1. Windows modules installer worker
    2. Antimalware service executable.

Windows Modules InstallerEnables installation, modification, and removal of Windows updates and optional components. If this service is disabled, you may not be able to install or uninstall Windows updates.

    1. Have you checked if all the updates have installed successfully?
    2. Have you made any changes to the computer prior to the issue?
    3. Have you installed any third party application/ software?

Let's try few methods and check if it helps:

Method 1: I would suggest you to run SFC (system File Checker) scan and check if it helps:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833/en-us?wa=wsignin1.0

Method 2: I would suggest you to run the Memory Diagnostic tool and check if it helps:

    1. Press Windows Key + Q and type Windows memory diagnosticand select the tool to run.
    2. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Method 3: I would also suggest you to run Malicious Software Removal Tool.

You can refer to the Microsoft link to download and run the tool

    http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/malware-removal.aspx

Note: Any data files that are infected may only be cleaned by deleting the file entirely, which means there is a potential for data loss.

Method 4: Perform a full scan using Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if helps:

    Refer to this link: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Hope this information is helpful, if not let us know with the updated status and we will be happy to assist you further.

    Thanks.

    Thanks,

I've run all the tasks, and only SFC has reported anything unusual.

    Here is the output:

    PS C:\Windows\system32> sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan.  This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.

    Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some

of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For

example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not

    supported in offline servicing scenarios.
