I did pressed F8 rapidly but, as I stated, nothing worked.
-> You now need to do this to get into Repair Mode:
- Ask a friend with a Windows 7 PC to burn a System Repair CD for you. It takes less than five minutes via the Control Panel / Backup and Restore.
- Set the BIOS so that it uses the CD drive as its primary boot device.
- Boot the machine with the Repair CD.
- Perform a System Restore.
My parents don't understand importance of external disks and all those computer things. If they do… I would have Mac, not Windows. :)
-> A Mac needs regular backups as much as a PC does.
