I have a Swipe Ultimate Tablet running windows 8.1

The issue i am facing is that whenever i start my tab from a previous shutdown the touch screen will not work. I have to use my mouse to go to Device Manager option -> Human Interface Device -> I2C HID Device -> disable and again enable the device. This will get the touch screen working till i shutdown again. I have tried the 'Update driver' option and it says "the driver software for your device is up to date". Could someone please provide a solution to this issue.

Also, whenever i do a windows update the touch screen will work for the next 2-3 starts/reboots post a shutdown, after that it will again stop working

    Hi Anir,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I can understand that the touch screen of your tablet stops responding when you restart the tablet. I will certainly assist you with the issue. However, I would appreciate if you could answer a few questions to narrow down the issue in order to provide you with better assistance.

    a) Has the issue started to occur recently?

    b) Did you make any changes to the tablet prior to this issue?

    c) Have you tried installing the drivers from the manufacturer's website?

As you are able to fix the issue temporarily by disabling and enabling the touch screen driver, the issue seems to be arising due to corrupted/ unstable touch screen driver and needs to be updated from the manufacturer's website.

In addition to that, I would suggest you to try the following methods and check if the issue persists.

    Method 1:

    Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

    a.      Press Windows key + W and type troubleshooting.

    b.      Select Troubleshooting.

    c.       Select View all on the top left corner.

    d.      Run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

    Method 2:

I would suggest you to follow these steps to allow the device to save power.

    a. Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.

    b. Search for Human Interface devices and expand it.

    c. Right click on the touch screen driver and select Properties.

    d. Select the Power management tab and uncheck the box which says allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

    e. Click on Ok.

If the issue still exists, then you might need to install the drivers from the manufacturer's website. The Swipe website does not seem to provide any drivers online. So, you might contact the Swipe support for original drivers for your tablet.
