Hi,

I have to maintain a couple computers from my grandparents house every now and again and i have multiple computers in my house i was wondering if it is possible to receive an email stating what windows updates are ready to install or download when they are ready or once a week/month, i figure task scheduler will have some role

4 laptops with 8.1 pro, 1 desktop with 10(not worried about this since i'm on it all the time)

Thanks in advance and i hope i have given you enough details

Hello Kushal,

Thank you for providing us the opportunity to assist you.

As per the issue description you are willing to send an email when windows updates are ready to install on your grandparents computer.

I would suggest you to set an option of automatically install the updates from the advance option of Windows updates then you don't need to send an email or need to worry.

To have Windows install important updates as they become available, turn on automatic updating. Important updates provide significant benefits, such as improved security and reliability. You can also set Windows to automatically install recommended updates, which can address non-critical problems and help enhance your computing experience.

For more clarification you may refer to the article mentioned below.

**Turn automatic updating on or off**

If you still want to send an email notification you may refer to the steps provided in the link provided below to create a task. Though the link is for Windows 7 but steps valid good for Windows 8/8.1 too.

Configure a Scheduled Task Item

Hope the information provided is helpful. Do let us know if you have any queries related to Windows, we will be happy to assist you.

Regards,
