Ctrl key is not working Windows 7

i am not able to use CTRL key on my keyboard..

mostly i used CTRL + C, CTRL + V and CTRL + ALT + DEL...

plz help...

EDIT:  it appeared there was problem with my keyboard... i used used my friend's keyboard and it worked fine...

    See if this page can detect your control key.  Just go to http://www.cross-browser.com/x/examples/shift_mode.php and then when the page is open, press Ctrl a few times.

    both CTRL keys are not working...

    and the problem started 2-3 days ago...

    no i don't have any other keyboard to check...

    it detects all the keys except CTRL key....

    Is the keyboard USB? Try changing its port.do you have another machine,as laptop or desktop ?if not,get the keyboard to a friend having one...try contacting it to a mac or

    Linux...

    note:these options work only if it is a

    USB keyboard

    Interesting. Is it only the left or right Ctrl key, or both of them?

    Do you have another keyboard you could plugin too and see if it is the same there?

    Lastly do you know when the problem began?
