- What happens when you configure the printer with Windows 8.1 first then share it with windows 7?
I suggest that you reinstall the Printer driver, and add Printer again first in Windows 8.1 and then in Windows 7.
Following are the steps to remove Printer from Devices and Printer:
- Press Windows + R, type control.exe and then click on ok.
- Change the view by (from windows explorer) to large icons or small icons.
- Double Click on Devices and Printer.
- Right click on Canon Pixma IP3600 under Printer Column.
- Remove Device to Uninstall.
Following are the steps to remove Printer Driver from Program and Features:
- Press Windows + R, type control.exe and then click on ok.
- Double click on Programs and Features.
- Uninstall all the Canon related driver.
Restart the computer and add Printer again from Device and Printer:
- Click Add a Printer.
- In the Add Printer Wizard, select add a local printer.
- On the Choose a printer port page, make sure that the Use an existing port option button and the recommended printer port are selected, and then click next.
- In the Install the Printer Driver wizard, select Windows Update and then wait for few minutes which will display the list of available Printer Driver.
- Choose the Printer make and model and then install.
Note: You can also reinstall the driver with your driver CD which was provided by the manufacturer.
