When I am trying to open up a programme, which I have opened before with no trouble, I keep getting Runtime Error

Common Loaders Loader cpp:167 Failure condition 0, Failed to load library SStudio 1k.ddl A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failure.   I don't know what any of this means and don't know what to do.  I have tried using the incapability file thing as the file was incompatible when I first loaded it but worked after using this facility, but now it doesn't work even with that.  Anyone know what is wrong and how I can fix it. Forgot to mention I have Windows 8.1 now and before had XP.  Never had any problem with this programme on XP.

    Hi,

Has it ever worked in Windows 8.1, or just in XP?

And did you try and open it by right clicking on it  > then select Run as Administrator?

    Check its Windows 8.1 Compatibility:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/compatcenter/home

"Get your apps and devices working in Windows 8.1"

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/get-apps-devices-working

"Make older programs compatible with this version of Windows"

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/older-programs-compatible-version-windows

    Cheers.
