Modern SharePoint page not showing link icon for page anchor

Hi all,

When I try to add a page anchor in a Text web part, I do not see the 'link' icon (which also gives us the URL to the section) after I publish the page. I have added text, selected a heading of the text and then selected heading 1 from the drop down. I have then saved the changes and published the page and exited editing mode. However, when I select the heading or hover my mouse around the heading, I do not see the 'link' icon which ideally should appear. Is there anything I am not doing or any feature that I need to enable or anything that I am missing? Please advice.

    @Vivek S
    I can reproduce it in my SharePoint 2019. In the SharePoint 2019, when I add Heading1 style text in the text web part, the page anchor does not appear. But in the SharePoint Online, text web part can display page anchor.

    There’s a great possibility that in the SharePoint 2019, by design, there is no page anchor feature in the text web part.

    Hi all,

    I am sorry for bumping this thread. But I am having the exact same problem and after spending quite some time yesterday trying to find a solution; I still haven't found one. But I also haven't found anyone else with this problem except on this page.

    I want to create an anchor link but Sharepoint isn't displaying the hyperlink. I tried several browsers, several heading types but nothing works.
    How can I find a workaround for this? Because I really want to use this feature. I hope someone can help me out. I am new to Sharepoint. Version I am working on is 2019.

    I was having the same issue.
    After creating the headers and Publishing the page, I went to Site Contents and opened the Page from there and the links then appeared.
