    Hello Charles,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community forum.

As per the issue description you are getting an error code 0x800f01f while running the DISM command. I would appreciate if you can provide us the following information to help us understand the issue better.

    1. Why are you running DISM commands? Are you facing any other issue? If yes, what is the main issue?
    2. Are you trying to install Windows updates or .NET framework on your system?
    3. Did you make any recent changes (Hardware or Software) on your computer?

Before running DISM command I would suggest you to run SFC scan and check if it helps you to fix your main issue or not. As SFC and DISM both are used for repairing corrupt system files form the computer.

Run System File Checker (SFC) tool.

SFC scan will scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.

How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows 8.

    1. Press Windows key and X at the same time.
    2. Choose Command Prompt (Admin) from the context menu.
    3. In the command prompt, type sfc /scannow and hit Enter.
    4. Exit command prompt.

The error message which you are getting is also resolved by running DISM commands. I would suggest you to follow the steps provided in the following article and then try to run the commands and see if it brings any difference.

Fix Windows corruption errors by using the DISM or System Update Readiness tool

Hope the information provided was helpful. Do get back to us with all the information provided and result of proposed suggestion. We will be glad to assist you.

    Regards,
