Disabling virtual memory Windows server 2012 R2

Is it good to disable virtual memory for the specified windows OS? 

We are running an application that uses JVM, the community for the application suggests that we disable the virtual memory to achieve good performance. I know this is easy to be done in linux, but want to confirm if its good to do the same in windows and recommended?
