Ensuring the same pathway for saving

I am unclear as to how different computers save files in set pathways.  On my computer at work, when i go to 'Save as' a file, it automatically takes it to the folder where I last saved a file of the same type.  On my computer at home, when I go to 'Save as' it automatically takes me to a folder at the route:

C:\Users..\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\

This is really time consuming to save files and go through the same pathway every time.  I have looked in different places and cannot work out how to change settings to make sure there is a default setting so that it provides the option of saving in the same folder as the last file.

Thanks if anyone can help me with this

Not certain, I just 'googled' a few things. But does this help? - http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/26559/change-the-default-save-folder-for-windows-7-libraries-to-something-else-like-your-dropbox/ may be worth checking how yours are set anyway.

    Or maybe http://www.question-defense.com/2010/03/04/change-windows-7-default-file-save-location

No need to download anything, just read and compare.

If no joy, hopefully someone will assist soon
