Sharepoint custom Light/Dark mode

Question

Hiya,

I have created a custom Light and Dark theme for SharePoint using our brand colour scheme but some people prefer the Dark theme and some prefer the Light theme, is there a way to use the same functionality Outlook has in regards to the Light/Dark mode toggle? If it is possible is there also a way that I can use the two new custom themes I have created and assign them to the Dark/Light mode toggle?

Any notes/information would be helpful.

Hi @Jamian Palmer ,

Currently, SharePoint Product haven't supported Light/Dark mode troggle like OutLook, only a single theme can be applied to the site, can't apply both two Light/Dark theme together.

I suggest you could submit a comment in this similiar UserVoice so that SharePoint can release the feature in the future:

Dark mode would be very appreciated

You can install an extension named "Dark Reader". It will allow you to force a dark mode on the Sharepoint Site (but, just for you).
