    Hi Arashghanbar,

Thank you for the update on the issue.

As per the screen shot which you have provided it seems that the entry which is showing unknown app in Credential manager is associated with some website as it is showing Website address (URL).

There might be a chance that you have logged in on some website and used your email credentials and by mistake you have selected save this option.

I would request you to click on show option infront of password and check the password which might help you to find out the credential where you have used them and then you can move ahead to know the source of the unknown app.

hope the information provided is helpful. Do let us know if you have any more concern related to Windows.

    Regards,

    Hi Ramesh,

Thank you for your response. By identifying the unknown apps I meant the apps that have web credentials

under credential manager (sorry, I should have been more specific). My windows 8.1 machine runs fine and

I don't have any non-Microsoft apps, however, as you can see on screen shot there are few credentials

saved by an unknown app. Just wondering how can I identify the source of these mystery credentials?

    Thank you,

    Hi Ramesh,

Thanks for the tip, I have looked at that password before and it is a huge App generated alpha-numeral

line. I deleted the credential again, and now after opening each app I check the credential manager to see

whether it is back or not. So far there is no sign of it, however, I haven't opened all the apps yet. If happen

to discover which app is behind it, I will post the result for those who might have the same question.

    Thanks again,
