File History Backup Error Code 203

Anonymous
2015-09-03T02:51:41+00:00

I have windows 8.1 Pro. IE 11.  My file history backup is ending with error/event code 203. Always on the same path to a file that does not exist.  It is an invalid path.  I do not set the file paths for File History Backup, so I do not know how to correct it.

Does anyone know what is the root cause of this?

And how to correct it?

Thanks very much for all input.

Oscar.

    Hi Community:

My problem is not yet solved. Microsoft Tech Net has provided a Hot Fix - KB2894862, to solve the problem, and said the fix will be distributed in the normal Windows Update procedure.  I have not yet applied the Hot Fix because my attempt to do a File Image Backup of my C drive also failed on the same entity.  Seeing that a complete backup is a pre-requisite to installing this Hot Fix, my installation of it is still in progress, while I pursue a workable recovery, should the Hot Fix proves fatal.

Does anyone know when Hot Fix KB2894862 will be mainstreamed?

    Thanks.
