Hi,

I have INF file for my CDC device. If I plug the device in to PC, it says driver installation failed.

And also from Device manager->right click on device -> Update driver software -> Browse for driver->search for driver in this location in that I have provided the correct path, but it say "Windows cant find driver for your device."

But if we choose other option   Browse for driver->Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer->Next->Have Diskand the I provided path. After that it installed correctly and the device was working fine.

But I want it to work when I provide path in Browse for driver->search for driver in this location.

Can anyone help me ASAP

    Hi,

Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft forum. Let me help you with this.

Search for driver in this location is the option through which it checks for the drivers on the system's particular location.

Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer is the option to check the drivers from the computer's factory installed drivers.

I would suggest you to keep the Windows Update automatically in order to install the latest drivers on the computer.

    Download and install drivers

Let us know if you need further assistance. We will be glad to help you further.
