I have 4 programs that start Up on bootup however when I try to go to edit a startup program in the startup folder it is empty ..I just had my windows #7 64 P.C.  Completely wiped and reloaded and I was wondering could this be a default problem that wasn,t done after the reload.? ...is there a way that I could fix this folder to populate all my programs into it"? ....I,m just not sure what to do I tried a few things but not good results. ..also someone told me to install Glary utilities because I can startup or stop programs from starting up with this app" but I really don,t want to download this Glary App"  because I had some serious problems with it the last time I downloaded it a few yrs, ago ...in any case can someone help me to fix this problem if possible.. I sure would appreciate it"./ ...thanx very much to all the Microsoft community for helping me with so much in the past 8 yrs, - I sure do appreciate all of the help that you all have giving me,

What you report sounds highly confusing and goes against everything I have ever experienced in my countless years of doing Windows support. I suggest you ask a computer-savvy friend to examine your machine, either at your home or by you granting him remote access.

all of the startup folders are all empty

I have been working in these forums for too long to accept everything at face value. I learnt the hard way to rely on nothing but evidence. In your case this means that I do not trust the above statement. No offense meant. What I am looking for is a statment that tells me what you find in these Start Menu folders:

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

    C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

    C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

Yes all the startup folders are where they are supposed to be" in my C:/ program files.. but as I said they all are (EMPTY) not one single program that I have installed are on any of these files../ my question is suspect?? well? maybe I,m not explaining myself correctly or maybe its supposed to be this way .. all I know is before my P.C. was wiped and reloaded. -> I would go to start and type in startup programs or I would go to all Programs and Look for the startup file and it would bring me to a folder that showed all my programs that were installed on my p.c. all the programs that started up on boot and all the ones that didn,t start up on Boot ..am I explaining this right? and where did all my programs go..?? - and if I want to stop a program from starting Up or not starting then how can I do this? ..I went to system Configuration and theres only 3 startup programs on the startup tab" but the thing is-> I have many more than 3 ..but they are not listed in system config' ...this is my problem" ....  thanx  ,

all of the startup folders are all empty,  ...before I had my system wiped and reloaded - I would go to the start tab on the bottom left and type in start up programs and I would be able to see all the programs that I had installed on my system the ones that were started up when I booted up and all the programs that were not started when I boot up ..but now all the folders are EMPTY no matter what folder I go to there all empty so now I can,t stop or start up the program that I want to on bootup ... i realize there is an app called Glary Utililities that I could download to do what I need to do but I had serious problems with that app" the last time I downloaded it" and in fact it was the very caused for my system to crash and the reason why I had to do a wipe and reload of my entire system" so I,m not going to download this anymore  but" ...I was wondering if there was a way to Populate all the programs I have installed into the startup folder that I do have already so whenever I need to stop or start a program from Bootup I could .....is there a fix for this that isn,t too complicated as I am not a technician,  thanx Frederik my friend..   :)
