Can't delete a tenant because of 'Delete all license-based subscriptions'

Hello. I have previously acquired a Teams free organization and I'm now trying to delete my organization/account. I've followed the steps outlined here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/delete-your-teams-free-organization-2c28cfcf-3fbf-497c-938f-8815a8f6a6b9 and https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/enterprise-users/directory-delete-howto. I've been able to follow the guidelines up to the point of deleting the directory but now I have an issue.

When trying to delete the tenant via Azure Portal, the license-based subscriptions component doesn't allow me to. "To delete your organization, please remove the seat-based subscriptions which are still associated with your tenant. Go to Store For Business to fully deprovision the subscriptions by placing them into a Delete state even if they have already been canceled." I also tried to delete the tenant via Azure AD admin center but the status is identical there.

When I go to Store for Business, I see no subscriptions at all. ('No results found.') I've cancelled my Teams subscription from Microsoft 365 admin center and the status of that subscription is deleted. However, at Azure Portal I'm unable to delete my tenant and the required action column asks me to delete all license-based subscriptions.

I haven't found a solution for this problem - I hope someone has a workaround for this issue. I'm happy to provide more information if needed.

Are you the admin for the subscription? It's possible that it's not showing up if you are not the owner.

If you are the owner and you are having this issue, it may be good to create a ticket with the subscription support team.
