Confused about group emails and how to login and share

I'm a new user and I can't figure out how to add a Microsoft group email to my outlook account. I've read through a lot of pages and I'm only getting more confused. Is there a group email password? I don't see where to set one up with the group. How do I invite outside guests to the group email account (after I figure out how to access it myself). I do see how to add members, but how do I initiate an invite to the group to them? Thank you for any help. And I don't know how to select appropriate tags either, as I don't know what most of the words mean or how they apply...

Based on your description, your question is mainly about outlook account and group mails, it is beyond the support scope of windows-group-policy, I would recommend you to post on Microsoft Community Forum -, and relate product supporter may provide you more suggestion:
