    Hi Lakhbir,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

As per the event viewer description it seems that there is some system file corruption. The issue could be if there is some third party conflict. If you are getting event id 26 then the program could not load a driver because the program user doesn't have sufficient privileges to access the driver or because the drive is missing or corrupt.

So, I would suggest you to try the steps provided below and see if it helps you to fix the issue.

    Method 1:

Let’s boot the computer in Safe Mode and check if issue reappears. Safe mode is a diagnostic mode that starts your computer in a limited state. Only the basic files and drivers necessary to run Windows are started. The words Safe Mode appear in the corners of your monitor to identify which Windows mode you’re using. You may refer to the article mentioned below to boot the computer in safe mode.

Advanced startup options (including safe mode).

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

    Step 2:

If your computer works fine in safe mode, I would suggest you to perform clean boot.

Putting your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. You need to follow the steps from the article mentioned below to perform a Clean Boot.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-us

Note: Refer "How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting" to reset the computer to start as normal after troubleshooting.

    Method 2

If issue still persists, I would suggest you to check the system files are they working fine or not and to check that try to run System File Checker (SFC) tool.

SFC scan will scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.

How to use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted system files on Windows Vista or on Windows 7.

    1. Go to Start, click All Programs and open Accessories.
    2. Right click on Command Prompt in the Program list and then select Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click OK.
    3. In the Command Prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:

    sfc /scannow

For more information refer to this link:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833/en-us

    Method 3

If issue persists, try to refer the steps provided in the article mentioned below.

    **Optimize Windows for better performance**

Important: ****While performing chkdsk on the hard drive if any bad sectors are found on the hard drive when chkdsk tries to repair that sector if any data available on that might be lost.

    ****

Note: Any data files that are infected may only be cleaned by deleting the file entirely, which means there is a potential for data loss.

Hope this would help. If issue still persists post back with current status of your computer and result of the proposed suggestion, we will be happy to assist you.

    Regards,

    Thanks Nyima,

    1. Nope, no error message.
    2. Check below (needs to be answered in detail)
    3. Nope, no performance issues.
    4. Yes, 89 (86) entries are still present in system logs.
    5. (in detail)

I am using TP-LINK TL-WN722N wireless adapter, previously the driver provided with this network adapter was causing

    Kernel-Power 41 (63) WITH RANDOM REBOOTS + 89 (86)

The support staff @ tp-link suggested me to use Atheros AR 9271 drivers instead of bundeled TP-link drivers.

41 (63) stopped when i installed AR 9271 drivers and removed checkpoint zonealarm firewall.

I am not having any 41 (63) reboots from past 4 days (using windows defender + tinywall firewall).

    But,

sytem log is still showing kernel-power 89 (86)* as mentioned earlier.

Note * : This entry is INFORMATION not an ERROR in system log.

Method 1 & 2 as suggested by you shows: network adapter working properly & no changes or udates necessary.

Moreover: I have updated all the drivers on my PC using DRIVER BOOSTER 3.1, still no luck,

89 (86) are not going (are present even in safe mode).

Since, network adapter is disabled in safe mode (hence i guess some thing other than NA is causing 89 (86))

I just hope this is not a THERMAL issue related to processor??

I don't want to open and replace stock intel (1.5 years old) thermal pad with third party thermal paste.

    OR

may be its time to replace my PSU.

BUT, GIGABYTE APP CENTER (system information section) does not show any abnormalities in both power supply and processor temperature.

What should i do in safe mode (look for kernel events ??) Computer is working normally, all the updates are installed, but still getting same events.

SFC/scannow shows some logs but log file is huge (should i delete it to get fresh logs) so that i can post it?)

    Update:
