As requested just popping in to offer my opinion. I think that XP would be the best of those choices, just because it was more consumer oriented and probably more likely to run those programs (perhaps in compatibility mode). Although really for some of those, it might be the case that you need Windows 95/98 to play them, so in the end it might require virtual box or something similar to get those running.
Windows Server 2008 or Windows XP Pro
I have a PC used only for old games (Zoo Tycoon, Sims2, Rollercoaster Tycoon etc.) I have to wipe the system and start anew - there is no internet connection for this computer and I have only the options of running Windows Server 2008 or Windows XP Professional. Which operating system would you recommend playing these kind of games on?
