I understand you get Code 80246010 while installing Windows Updates. The issue might arise due to intermittent internet connections, corrupt Windows Update package or if Windows Update services are malfunctioning.
In order to troubleshoot the issue, I would suggest you to try the following methods and check if the issue persists.
Method 1:
Try to run the Windows update troubleshooter provided in the following link.
Troubleshoot problems with installing updates
Try installing the updates after running the troubleshooter.
If the issue still exists, try the next method.
Method 2:
I would suggest you to use Deployment Image Servicing and Managementto fix Windows Update errors**.**
a) Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, press
Windows key + Q and type on CMD right click on Command Prompt from the list and select Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click
Allow.
b) Type the following commands. Press Enter after each command:
- DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
- DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
c) Close the command prompt, and then run Windows Update again.
