    Hello,

Thanks for posting your query to Microsoft forum. I will certainly help you with this.

Did you upgrade Windows to Windows 8.1 or Windows 10?

This could be due to the program being not compatible with upgraded version. Since you have restored the computer back to Windows 8. Please try to follow the methods below and check the status of the issue.

Method 1: Make sure your computer is up to date.

Check for Windows updates including optional updates.

If the issue persists, follow method 2.

Method 2: Uninstall and Reinstall the program.

Uninstall the program completely from the computer and reinstall it, this will help us getting the deimgs.dll file.

If the issue persists, follow method 3.

Method 3: Run the Microsoft safety scanner.

The Microsoft Safety Scanner is a free downloadable security tool that provides on-demand scanning and helps remove viruses, spyware, and other malicious software. It works with your existing antivirus software.

Run a full computer scan with the Microsoft Safety Scanner to make sure that the computer is virus free.

Note: Any data files that are infected may only be cleaned by deleting the file entirely, which means there is a potential for data loss.

If the issue persists, follow method 4.

    Method 4: Perform SFC scan

I would suggest you to perform SFC scan and check if that helps. The sfc/scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions. It is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

Please reply us with these information and the current status of your computer we will be happy to assist you further.
