Hello,
Thanks for posting your query to Microsoft forum.
I appreciate your efforts towards trying to resolve the issue and I will certainly help you with this.
Are you logged in as administrator?
There might be some corruption in system files or could be some issues with the admin rights.
Method 1: Active hidden admin account
- Press Windows + R key on the keyboard.
- Type cmd in the run bar.
- In Command Prompt type this command: net user administrator /active:yes
- Press Enter and Restart the computer.
Try to turn On the firewall and check.
If you are able to do so deactivate the hidden admin account.
For that follow the step:
- Press Windows + R key on the keyboard.
- Type cmd in the run bar.
- In Command Prompt type this command: net user administrator /active:no
- Press Enter and Restart the computer.
If the issue persists, follow method 2.
Method 2: Perform SFC scan
I would suggest you to perform SFC scan and check if that helps. The sfc/scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions. It is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.
