Using Visual Studio with JAWS

I would like to learn programming, I am blind.  I currently use a screen reader called NVDA.  It seems it is not compatable with the Microsoft Visual Studio, I have done some research and have seen some indications that JAWS is compatable with the Visual Studio Compiler.

is that true?

Are there any programmers out there that write code, that are blind?  Would yu mind telling me how you write, edit, correct errors and run programs.

Can NVDA be used instead of JAWS?

Thanks!
