Wifi connection and battery issues

So i am having issues with my laptop. It will go for about 40mins or so then wifi will shut down (plugged in or unplugged, doesnt matter). Also when this happens my computer will no longer read any usb device that has not previously been plugged in before this problem happens. I have searched many forums but cannot find anybody else with this problem. I have already set usb options and wifi adapter options to not allow my computer to turn it off to save power. My battery is also going bad in this laptop if that changes anything.

Hello Jacob,

Thank you for your response.

I appreciate your time.

I would suggest you to update BIOS, wireless network and chipset drivers from this link and check.

http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/U56E/HelpDesk_Download/

Note: Please select OS as Windows 7.

Important: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

Please keep us updated.

Thank you

My laptop is an Asus model: U56E

Neither articles were successful. When running the troubleshooter from article 1 it says to reset my adapter. If I try to disable then reanable I have to restart as it won't enable normally. And I changed the performance setting as in article 2 but to no luck. Thank you for the help!!
