I just checked, and it was not deleted, i had just moved it into an adjacent folder.

I accidently deleted a 40GB Backup folder while on safe mode.
What happens when you delete a folder in safe mode, is it different than a normal deletion?
I have tried recovery software but it won't find it.

2015-09-09T16:45:12+00:00 Since that is probably too large to go into the recycle bin it probably prompted you to simply delete and if it did and a software recovery program like "recuva" cannot find it, its gone. If it is life & death critical stop using the drive and take it to a pro.
