Windows Script Host error and blue screen

EDIT 12/28 All of the answers I've seen for similar questions come down to replacing the file, or (if malware) finding the script in command prompt for the possibly removed program. The only problem being I've seen no explanation on how to find the script in command prompt. I've tried to insert a .txt of the same name with no changes. Basically, I'd just like to know how I can find the program that is trying to use the missing file or what is causing the search.

Recently I've been experiencing a pop-up from Windows Script Host stating a file could not be found. I've checked to see where the file would be, and there is a folder, but I'm not sure where the file went or why WSH needs the file. I tried to update my video card, and experienced a blue screen with BAD_POOL_CALLER. The blue screen happened once, where the WSH error happens maybe once every hour. I'm not too tech savvy when it comes to the inner workings of a computer, and was hoping there would be a simple answer to my question.

The specs are:

AMD Athlon X4 860K

MSI A78M-E45

Corsair Vengeance DDR3 8GB

ASUS Radeon R9 270 2GB

with a Toshiba 7mm 128GB SSD

The PC is mainly used for games

    Hi,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to check in Clean Boot state as below and check if it helps.

Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue.

Follow the article How to perform a clean boot in Windows in the below link and check if it helps:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135 (Applies to Windows 10 as well).

NOTE: Once you perform clean boot do refer to the section “How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting” to boot the computer in normal mode.

Method 2: I suggest you to follow the steps from the below article for “Resolving Blue Screen errors in Windows” and check if it helps.

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/resolve-windows-blue-screen-errors

Hope this information was helpful and do let us know if you need further assistance. We will be glad to assist.
