Original title: error 1402
Hi, trying to update Adobe but keep getting error message HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE32\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWSNT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Option\AcroRd32Info.exe. and asks "Verify that you have sufficient access to that key.
I saw on the net UtilitiesTech claim their software would correct this problem. Paid the $43.00AUD to find still have same issue. I "live Chat'd" their tech who asked to remote my PC, I said no, he claimed he could not fix the problem unless he remoted my PC. My question is is this a legit claim from the software provider UtilitiesTech and why don't they state they may need to remote your PC before paying their fees. I wouldn't have paid and downloaded their software if I knew beforehand the solution involved "opening the door" into my PC.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi Andrew E, thanks for the reply. The path I showed is as it appeared (I just tried updating Adobe again just to check) though the letter case is incorrect in places. I will try to update the OS as you suggest to see if the issue has been resolved. I see error 1402 is not an unusual problem, thanks again.
Youre error doesnt comply with "regedit" data,it should read: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE then with
the expanded tree,"software" is available,then microsoft.Either way,adobe updates & windows OS
have recently been issued, microsoft update should have it.Follow this link for updates.

Just make sure the OS (64 or 32 bit) is correct, along with the OS...
The above covers flash player, adobe, would be this link.
Both are macromedia software updates to windows
