calendar overlay issue after migration from 2010 to 2016

Below is the user ticket description:
We use a calendar overlay to show multiple calendars with color coding.​​ The calendars in the overlay still direct to 2010 site but when I attempt to correct the link to the calendars and resolve I am getting an error. If I attempt to start from scratch with a new calendar overlay I get the same error.

​Update: I tried to create an entirely new calendar in the test site and has the same problem. Trying to resolve the calendar from the SP2016lab site gives the fault that "something went wrong". If I add an overlay from exchange it works. If I try to add an overlay from a different sharepoint calendar I get an error "Unable to find specified web in the given URL ​."

so when we give 2016site lab URL it is not resolving, coming up with below error something went wrong error
for testing we have added another production site it resolved.

it coming up error like something went wrong unexpected error.

Hi @sns ,

The Calendar Overlay in SharePoint works well for site collections in the same web application, but not for across web applications. When you add calendar in other web applications, it will shows error message "Unable to find ....". So, Are these two sites in the same web application?

Please also check your account, and make sure the account have proper permissions on the another site collection.

If this issue still exists, please check ULS log to find more information about this error. The default path of ULS log files is: C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\16\LOGS.
