Windows 7 Problem with Synaptics TouchPad

I have Windows 7 and have a problem with my scrolling. Every time I turn on my laptop, I have to click on start and type in pointer. When the window opens up I just close it out. I have to do this in order to scroll using my mouse TouchPad. The Synaptics Pointing Device icon isn't even in the taskbar before I do this. Once I've done this, I can scroll using my TouchPad until I shut down my laptop. Then when I turn on my laptop, I have to go through this again. It's no big deal... just frustrating. Does anybody have an answer to my problem?

    Hi,

    1. Were there any changes made on the computer prior to the issue?
    2. What is the make and model of the computer?

    Method 1:

    Run the **hardware and devices troubleshooter** and check if it helps.
