I have a HP Pavilion DM4 1101tx laptop .
My laptop came with windows 7 64 bit OS .
This laptop has a fixed mode switchable graphics (intel hd + ati mobility radeon hd 5470) .
The problem is I have reinstalled the OS and now when I install the graphics driver I get blank screen after reboot .
I installed the appropriate driver for my pc . But this is not working . Is it a problem with the OS ?
PLZ help .

You could also try the fix first in Pavilion dm4 (Windows 7) - Switchable Graphics Died - HP Support Forum - 3228753 .
Can you configure the driver software in Safe mode? For most switchable graphics there is a governing software (Nvidia usually, for example) that can require some configuration.
In this case with a dual driver that's highly unusual, I would consult the manufacturer. You're entitled to Tech Support under the one year included Warranty. You can also post in their forums, and search for this specific model since there are very likely others seeking this information who may already have results posted.
It is a customized driver from HP which includes both the intel and amd driver together .
Installing the driver installs both the intel and amd driver together at a time .
The driver version is 8.77 something .
Disabling the discrete AMD gpu from safe mode works . But I need the high performance gpu as I have to do many graphics related works .
Drivers from AMD does not work . (gives bsod screen with an error called atikmpag.sys).
If it won't start then use whichever method works for How To Access Advanced Startup Options in Windows 8 or 10
to access System Restore to roll back to before the driver.
Go over the Windows 10 Install Integrity Checklist starting with installing all WIndows Updates. Does Windows Update deliver display drivers?
Which of the switchable graphics drivers is installed and/or current? Where did you locate the one which is malfunctioning?
Did you try AMD Driver Autodetect?
