audio loop won't stop

I was setting up a video conferencing app and ran an audio test. That resulted in a sound loop that persists even if I shut off the computer, wait 10 minutes, and turn it on again. The loop keeps running. Help.

I would begin by stopping the program from automatically launching itself on startup.  Then it will, at least, stop making noise when you reboot.  To do that, run the command MSCONFIG and disable that program on the Startup tab.

Unfortunately I can't reach the site kaiser.org, so I can't try out the software myself.  Stranger still is that they don't show up in Google results.  So the best I can suggest (other than stopping it from doing that on startup/reboot) is to contact them and see if they have a patch to fix the problem.

The program doesn't show in Start Up. But you gave me the obvious idea of uninstalling the program, which I did, and which killed the loop. I reinstalled the program but have avoided its audio test in the set-up.

Thanks for your help. BTW, the site is KP.org not Kaiser.org that I wrote at first. (It's an HMO.)

It's called Vidyoweb, used on Kaiser.org.
