Windows 7 Update Error Code C80003F6

I have Windows 7 -- 64 bit -- Home Premium

Got this error code - C80003F6 - when just checking for updates.

Searched forum for someone with same code, but nothing came up with an exact match to this error code.

Does anyone know what to do so I can check for and install updates?

NOTE* --- bits, wuauserv, msiserver and cryptsvc are all showing as "auto start" and were actually started when I checked.
