Unable to install printer. The print processor does not exist (winprint)

Following scenario:

DC1 in site 1 runs Windows Server 2012 Standard, Print and Document services are installed. Several Printers are installed and function.

DC2 in site 2 runs Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard 64-bit, Print and Document services are installed. I want to install printers that users in that site should be able to print with.

Same Printer exists in both sites. In Site 1 on DC1 I was able to successfully install the driver, add the port and installed the printer.

I took the same driver to DC2 and installed it. I created the Port with the IP of the printer but when I finish the add printer wizard i get an error message saying: Unable to install printer. The print processor does not exist winprint.

I was looking in many forums and before you ask, the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Print Processors\winprint does not exist on both DCs (tried to create it according to this post) but did not make any difference.

The file winprint.dll does not exist in the directory C:\Windows\System32\spool\prtprocs\w32x86on none of the machines, but is located under C:\Windows\System32\spool\prtprocs\x64on both machines.

There seems to be no difference in the configuration between those two machines but as I mentioned abov, on DC1 I am able to add the printer and on DC2 I am not.

Is there anything I can do to get the printer work on DC2?

(And for those who ask why to install it on a DC, there is no member server in that site).

Thanks
