Filter Keys Automatically On when I Boot Up my Computer

Recently, whenever I start my computer, filter and sticky keys are automatically turned on. I never realize this until I try to use my keyboard, and it doesn't work. I have to lock my computer (a Surface Pro 3 running Windows 8.1) and manually turn off the filter and sticky keys every time.

I can't find an option in Ease of Access settings to automatically turn on (or off) filter and sticky keys.

Does anyone know how to make this stop so that filter and sticky keys are automatically OFF when I turn on my computer?

    Hi,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft community.

As you have stated that whenever you turn on computer the filter and sticky keys are automatically turned on and you are able not disable it when you boot your computer.

I would like to suggest few troubleshooting steps.

    1. Click Start
    2. Type Control Panel and open it.
    3. Click the “Ease of Access” heading.
    4. Click “Change how your keyboard works”.
    5. Remove the check mark from the box next to “Turn on Filter Keys”.
    6. Click the blue “Set up Filter Keys” link.
    7. Underneath “Keyboard shortcut”
    8. Remove the check mark from the box next to “Turn on Filter Keys when right SHIFT is pressed for 8 seconds”.
    9. Click OK twice.

     Additional Information:

I would like you to follow the Article mentioned below how to disable the Keyboard Filter.

I think this worked. The "Turn On Filter Keys" box wasn't checked in "Ease of Access" settings, but the "Turn on Filter Keys when right SHIFT is pressed for 8 seconds" box was, so I unchecked that. Thanks for the help!
