any way to save Task View desktops over a restart or shutdown

My Windows 10 pro (fully updated) computer with 2 (extended) monitors runs BOINC 24/7. BOINC and 3 other programs are always running on the second monitor. Is there any way to save a Task View when I have to shutdown the computer for maintenance or restart the computer for updates/hangs? This would help lessen the 15 minutes it takes to reopen the programs and reposition/resize them for the second monitor. If this is not possible do you know of any free programs that would do this, as I am retired and on a rather small social security income?

Thanks for your time and help in this matter.

    Hi,
Based on my research, Task view changes based on the current status of the desktop, I don't think it can be saved except it has been saved into the timline.
    Reference : The timeline feature.
You could try this Powertoys utility made by Microsoft to costumize the position of the application windows:

    • PowerToys Settings > FancyZones > [Edit zones]: configure the layout as one column or row or whatever and disable "show space around zones". You'll have to do this for each monitor individually by dragging the settins window to another monitor
    • PowerToys Settings > FancyZones: Enable "Move newly created windows to their last known zone"
Drag the application you want to open in a specific screen over there, and when you're in that screen assign it to the "zone" by pressing/holding [shift] and then releasing the window into that screen.
