I have a Dell optiplex 3020 Desktop machine that is running Windows 7 64-bit o/s and I have a user that is having issues with his mouse it often jerks or is delayed or pauses while moving the pointer to another location

  1. We have tried both wireless and wired mice
  2. we have tried different USB ports for both types of mice on the machine
  3. We even tried different mouse pads
  4. I have checked the Dell website using a their software to see if there were any updates  for it and the only updates they had for this machine was a NIC driver and video driver
  5. I went into device manager and looked for updates on the mouse and other pointing devices and even the mouse that was listed underneath it.  All up to date
  6. Under Device manager I have also looked for updates under the Universal Serial Bus Controllers all up to day
  7. I went to the control panel and under mouse>>Pointers I unchecked Enable pointer shadows and allow themes to change mouse pointers
  8. I checked for drivers for the wireless mouse and they were up to date
  9. I checked Windows updates and they were up to date as well

does anyone have any other ideas?  I don't want to re-image the machine

Thanks

Lynn
