Repeating Audio Virus

Hi,

Just recently, this audio ad saying 'Please call the number provided as soon as possible. You will be guided for the removal of the adware spyware virus on your computer. Seeing these popups means that you have a virus installed on your computer which puts the security of your personal data. Important security message.' It has been repeating OVER and OVER, even as I type now. This is all it says, doesn't even give me a number so I can search for that either... I have included a link to an audio recording I took of it for further reference. I have checked task manager, done several scans, and even on Volume Mixer it just shows the source coming from the speakers. I've checked pretty much ALL of the programs I've installed and NOTHING. Tried Windows Defender. There is no sign of a visual popup WHATSOEVER. HELP.

Audio: (sorry for the echo I'm in a small room right now....)

Thanks,

Mahnoor.

You did not list your operating system.  What operating system are you using?

Any new browser extensions or items in startup that you need to disable/remove?

You may want to use https://www.google.com/chrome/cleanup-tool/

Recommend you try the steps in this free multi-step removal guide from Malwaretips.com: https://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-random-audio-ads-virus/

If you do not see the program in Control Panel that you think may be responsible for the issue or you cannot uninstall it, then move on to steps 2 and 3 (scan with AdwCleaner and Malwarebytes Free).  You may not need to use Hitman Pro (Trial Version) as suggested in step 4 but you may need to reset your browsers (step 5).

Try scanning with the Emsisoft Emergency Kit and/or the Eset Online Scanner and TDSSKiller:
