    I have the same issue.

Have already installed and ran the "Troubleshooter". The action window indicates that my issue was "fixed". Yet when powering down, the computer shows the 'Do not power off computer updates ....', and subsequently the computer proceeds through the time consuming installation and 'Updates could not be installed ... files are being removed... do not turn off computer'.

    EVERY TIME I POWER DOWN.

I have a x64 computer and a MS Tech installed Windows 10. I've noticed that my system files are located in a 32 bit system file.

    ABOUT INFORMATION

    Windows 10 Home

    Version    1511

    OS Build   109586.218

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

My other updates and security patches 'seem' to install correctly.

A fix or patch would alleviate much gnashing of teeth.

    Hi Arvind,

    1. Do you get any error code when the update does not install properly?
    2. Did you make any changes to the computer prior to the issue?

If your computer is having problems finding and installing operating system updates, try using the Windows Update Troubleshooter to fix the problem. It makes sure that your computer is connected to the Internet, and checks to see whether your network adapter and Windows Update services are running correctly.

Please revert if you face any issues installing updates.

    Thank you.
