Hello Jean,

I would like to know some information about the issue so that we could help you better.

Have you installed all Windows updates successfully in Windows?

I appreciate you for providing details about the issue.

I also appreciate this fact that you want to remove "SoftwareDistribution" folders.

Software Distribution folder holds the history files from Windows updates. When you do a Windows update after removing the folder, it will recreate the folder each time. It does not affect any updates that are already installed or future updates.

You may either delete or rename "SoftwareDistribution" folder after installing all Windows updates.

For reference, please refer suggestions from PranavMishra5582 replied on March 17, 2013.

I hope this information helps.

Please do let us know if you need any further assistance.

Thank you
