ERROR CREATING PROCESS

When I try to run msft anti-malware

the system returns with

ERROR CREATING PROCESS

<c:\usres!@\appdata\local\temp\IXP000.TMP\DEFAULTPACK.EXE SILENT=TRUE> .

REASON:THE SYSTEM CANNOT FIND THE FILE SPECIFIED.

Since you posted in the Windows Defender Offline (WDO) forum, I assume you’re trying to use WDO.

Be advised WDO for lack of a better word is “broke.”

I’m not employed by MS and do not know when a new version will be available.

Free independent malware scanners that are quite good include the Emsisoft Emergency Kit, Eset Online Scanner, Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool and Malwarebytes Free
