Why is Microsoft getting rid of WLM.  I have had nor problems with it from it's start.  It is so much better than Windows Mail. Windows Mail is still buggy with problems. I sterted using it when W10 was installed but had to go back to WLM. I couldn't stand  to use WMail.

The exact issue is WLM is going away and we are forced into using Win10 mail

WLMail is not going away. Support for DeltaSync and EAS in WLMail is going away.

Those running Win10 are not being forced to use its Mail app (but MS would very much like you to do so).

Someone is going to have to explain this to me then....

"It appears that you are currently using Windows Live Mail 2012 to connect to your Out‍look‍.‍com account. Windows Live Mail 2012 does not support the synchronization technologies used by the new Outl‍ook‍.‍com. When account upgrades begin at the end of June, you will no longer be able to receive email sent to your Out‍look‍.‍com account in Windows Live Mail 2012. Rest assured, you can always access your email by logging into Out‍look‍.‍com from any web browser, and you will continue to have access to all your data that is currently in Windows Live Mail 2012. "

Why is Microsoft getting rid of WLM...

Microsoft is *not "*getting rid of Windows Live Mail." [Yes, the email announcement was poorly worded and very confusing/misleading!]

Support for accessing Outlook.com/Hotmail/MSN/Live.com accounts via DeltaSync in Windows Live Mail is ending soon.

Accessing Outlook.com/Hotmail/MSN/Live.com accounts via POP3 or IMAP in Windows Live Mail (or any other Mail Client - e.g., Thunderbird) is NOT ending.
