@AnkushKumar-8134 Apologies for the delay in response and all the inconvenience caused because of the issue.

Nested virtualization is supported in several Azure virtual machine families. This capability provides great flexibility in supporting scenarios such as development, testing, training, and demonstration environments.

You can refer to this for more information.

There is a similar thread here on StackOverflow as well which might be helpful to you.

Hope it helps!!!

Thanks, the stack overflow article states Its only supported Windows OS. Also to enable this I need to run PowerShell command (Install-WindowsFeature -Name Hyper-V -Restart) where that command itself enabling Windows feature which will not be present on Ubuntu.

My requirement is to run Ubuntu as a Physical host machine and then run Virtual Box with Windows OS on top of that.

The other solution could be run Windows 2016 or Windows 10, enable nested virtualization then run Ubuntu over that and then inside Ubuntu again run VirtualBox but this can impact performance.

@AnkushKumar-8134 Also can you give me information about why you want to do Nested VM and then Virtual box, since you will have greater performance degradation, as there are multiple layers, instead of using the OS directly?

Thanks
