Method 1:
Step 1: Make sure User Account Control (UAC) is enabled.
Press the Windows key and from the Start screen type "UAC" and on the right, select Settings.
Select Change User Account Control settings and verify here.
Step 2: Check if Windows is activated or not. You may press Windows Key + Pause|Break button on the keyboard to view the system properties window. Scroll down to the page and confirm if Windows is activated or not.
Step 3: Check the Date & Time Zone is correct:
Follow these steps to change the time.
a. Double Click on the current time on the bottom right hand corner of your screen.
b. Then click Change date and time settings, then click the Change time zone button
c. Select your time zone and tick automatically adjust clock for daylight saving time and press OK
d. Then press Apply, and OK.
Method 2: Let's run the Microsoft account troubleshooter and check.

Microsoft account troubleshooter is designed to deal the issues related with Microsoft accounts. When you run it, it will automatically detect common issues such as:
- All sync settings
- Microsoft account settings are corrupt
- Can’t connect to the sync service
- Microsoft account required to sync settings
Method 3:
"Perform SFCscan.
Run System File Checker (SFC) tool scan and check if it works.
a. Press Windows + X key and click **Command Prompt (Admin).**b. Type the command:sfc /scannowand press Enter.
c. Restart the computer and check."
Note: Make sure to open Command Prompt as an Admin ("Run as administrator")
The tool will do a scan, which will take some time. In my case it detected corrupt files and repaired them
