Remote Desktop Windows 10 Pro, continue HDMI & USB output from remote computer

Hello,

I'm controlling a Windows 10 Pro computer from a 2nd Windows 10 Pro computer with Remote Desktop.

Is it possible to continue duplicating the display through an HDMI connection at the remote computer?

Is it possible to continue sending the audio signal through a USB connection at the remote computer?

Alternatively, is it possible, after an application running on the remote computer begins playing video and audio, to terminate the Remote Desktop connection and allow the display and audio to begin playing from the remote computer HDMI and USB ports without logging into the remote computer directly?

Thank you.

    Hi,
The remote desktop service enables users to get remote access after some configuration, but it also some limitations.
1.Is it possible to continue duplicating the display through an HDMI connection at the remote computer?
There is feature of multi-monitors for remote connection, if "Use all my monitors" has been checked.

After then, all your monitors from client side will get the image of target machine.

2.Is it possible to continue sending the audio signal through a USB connection at the remote computer?
Only following options are available when remoting to the target machine.

3.Alternatively, is it possible, after an application running on the remote computer begins playing video and audio, to terminate the Remote Desktop connection and allow the display and audio to begin playing from the remote computer HDMI and USB ports without logging into the remote computer directly?
Due to the device limitation, I tested parts of the audio test and confirmed that if there was music playing in the remote session and it will stop after the remote session was terminated and the target machine will return back to the status before remote connection.

    Thanks.

I was able to get the audio to play through the USB connection from the remote computer when controlled with Remote Desktop by changing the Remote audio playback setting to “Play on remote computer”.

The audio also continues to play from the remote computer after the Remote Desktop Connection is closed.

I was not able to get the video to be displayed through the HDMI connection to the remote computer either while the Remote Desktop Connection is in session or after the session is terminated.

The lock screen continues to be displayed through the HDMI connection, which connects to a projector, while the audio associated with the video file plays through the remote computer’s USB connection.

Is there any way to get rid of the lock screen displayed through the HDMI connection when the Remote Desktop Connection is in session or immediately after the session is terminated?

Can I create a dedicated Guest account with no password and no lock screen?

I’m hopping to use the remote Windows 10 Pro computer as a media server with wired connections to a projector and stereo and control that computer wirelessly through Remote Desktop.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
1.The audio also continues to play from the remote computer after the Remote Desktop Connection is closed.

How did you close the session, click x button or log off the session? Please also confirm if following value has been set up and will the sound play after the period was end.

Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Remote Desktop Services > Remote Desktop Session Host > Session Time Limits

Set time limit for disconnected sessions

2.Due to the device limitation, we are not capable to test for you but could only provide the information related the RDS audio.
