"Code 80244019 Windows Update encountered an unknown error” while trying to install the rest of the updates.

Hello guys I was wondering if somebody can help,

I setup WSUS on and SERVER 2008R2 and released some update to my Client PC all window 7 Pro

On 7 PCS  5 picked up, downloaded installed all updates with no issue the other 2 PCs pick up the update download and installed some of the update and are giving me the following error code “Code 80244019 windows Update encountered an unknown error ” while trying to install the rest of the updates

I rebooted the machine many time without any success, I did some research on the error code but so far I have not found any thing that could help

Can anybody please advised

As per the description, you have setup WSUS on Server 2008 R2 and experiencing issue with updates and getting error message: “Code 80244019 Windows update encountered an unknown error” on the system.

    Jayant,

    Thanks for your reply (I work with Romeo).

    The error is occurring on the windows 7 desktops. 5 of 7 downloaded and installed the updates correctly. 2 of the 7 gave the error code above. When searching we found that the error code suggests the pc can't locate the file via http. What we are trying to find out is why 2 of the 7 would have the issue and not the others.

    Regarding your suggestion of using a different forum, can we move this question to another forum?
