Error message when creating email in Windows Live 2012 after Windows 10 upgrade

Just finally did the free upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7.  I had been using Windows Live Email 2012 and it worked fine in Windows 7.  Now in Windows 10 it seems to connect fine and pulls email down from my Comcast server, but anytime I try to Reply to, or Forward, or create a new email, I get the same error message:

I did not knowingly change any account settings and looking at them seems like they are the same as they have always been.  Any help that will maintain all my existing files and folder structure would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

In response to the previous suggestions:

Repairing Windows Essentials did not fix the problem

I can send email from outlook.com but I do not access or use this functionality.  It has none of my history so sending email from there is not helpful.

The email account in question is a POP3 Comcast.net account.

The Windows Live version is Version 2012 (Build 16.4.3528.0331)

    What's the next suggestion?

    Hi,

We appreciate your time and effort for getting back to us.

I would require more information to help you better.

    1.   Which version of the program is currently installed? To find out, in Windows Live Mail press Alt-F B to show you the version and build numbers.

    2.    What type of email account are you working on? Is it POP3, IMAP or Exchange server email account?

I suggest you to access your account through the Internet Explorer web browser (by http://outlook.com/ website) from the computer and check if the issue persists.

Also, try to repair Windows Essentials****and check if it works.

    Follow the below steps:

    1.    Press Windows + X key to open a task list from the bottom left corner of the screen.

    2.    Select Control Panel.

    3.    Select Programs and Features.

    4.    Right click on Windows Essentials.

    5.    Select Uninstall/ Change, enter the credentials in User Account Controlif prompted.

    6.    Click on Repair all Windows Essentials programsand follow the onscreen instructions.

Hope the above information helps. Reply with necessary information and the result to help you further.

As stated in my original post, I am able to receive emails fine.  Mail pulls down form the Comcast server to Windows Live, but I can not forward or create any new email from Windows Live since I upgraded to Windows 10.

I did follow the directions in the link to remove and recreate the account, but there is no change in performance.

    What's next?
