Windows Game Bar Increases Sensitivity While Active

Is there a reason why having the Game Bar active (Win + G) causes the mouse sensitivity to change while it's displaying? Does anyone else notice this? Seems like a bug.

To resolve display issues on Windows 10, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Press the Windows button on your Windows 10 device or keyboard, or select the Windows icon in the lower-left corner of the main screen.
  2. Go to Search, enter dxdiag.exe, and then select dxdiag Run Command in the list of results, or press Enter. When the DirectX Diagnostic Tool opens, a progress bar appears in the lower-left corner of the window to let you know when the information has been loaded.
  3. On the Display tab, look for the provider or manufacturer of the display device, and note the name, model, and version of the display driver.
  4. Open a web browser and search for the website of that manufacturer.
  5. Follow the steps to search for your specific display device, and then check if there are any updates available.

Your Windows 10 device relies on your video hardware. That hardware relies on software called drivers to run. Drivers are updated frequently, so even if your hardware is brand new, it's a good idea to check for updates.

If there are no new available updates, we recommend that you manually download the display drivers from your computer manufacturer's website.

Let us know how it goes.

I turned the DPI scaling off, but I still notice it when the game bar is active. The resolutions of both monitors are 2560 x 1440. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. At home I don't notice this problem on dual 1920 x 1080 screens.

There haven't been any changes to drivers or registry that I'm aware of recently so I can't imagine that would have caused this. It only happens if the game bar is active. It's not a big deal, but I thought I'd at least mention it. It's like the sensitivity increases a couple notches no matter what sensitivity I'm already at.

Checking for updates via Windows Update and the Store didn't find any updates except for Windows Defender definitions (as usual).

    I've attached a video of what I'm experiencing. http://imgur.com/UWohXO1

I notice it when my sensitivity is normal as well, but it's much easier to show someone if I turn the mouse sensitivity all the way down.

    Again, not a huge deal.

It looks like it might be only with my work PC which runs two high resolution displays which also both use DPI scaling at 150%. I'll have to look more into this to see if I can make some reproduction steps.
