Taskbar appears during Cyberlink PowerDVD full screen playback

Whenever a play a video file from my hard drive with Cyberlink PowerDVD 12 it launches in fullscreen fine, but after a couple of seconds the taskbar appears over the video. I then have to click into the program to bring the video to the foreground. It makes no difference whether I have Always on Top enabled within PowerDVD itself or have the Auto Hide the taskbar enabled or disabled. No other programs seem to have this problem.

The catch all solution would be to find a way to hide the slither of the taskbar that appears when auto hide the taskbar is enabled. I found a program that would do this but wouldn't hide the start button, so it wasn't really all that useful.

Alternatively I would like to at least get PowerDVD 12 to stop doing this as it is the only program I'm really having issues with.

Please would anyone be able to advise?

You've probably resolved this by now, but thought I'd add in as I had the same trouble and couldn't find a solution via google.

Came across your issues as I suddenly had the same problem with PowerDVD 16. Seemed to occur out of nowhere. Hunted through settings, couldn't find anything, forums weren't helpful

    and then....

discovered that the right-click menu (during playback) has an option for "Always on top"

Never noticed that before, but must have somehow disabled it.

Video playback has now returned to a form of relaxation, as opposed to the annoying frustration of the windows taskbar distracting from my viewing experience.

The current version of Cyberlink PowerDVD 17 doesn't have this issue. Somewhere alone the way the company must have fixed the issue. Unfortunately this doesn't help me with version 12, but at least there is a solution.

Unfortunately the Cyberlink community hasn't been very vocal. Only one person has responded and they either don't understand what I'm asking or haven't experienced the same problem.

If you don't get an answer here, try posting in one of CyberLink's forums.
