What error do you get when you try to run the program?

Hi I hope some-one can help. I have over 200 old windows games that all worked fine on xp pro s/ pack 3 but now I use a windows 10 pc and none of my game's work even if you change the compatibility settings.
Right click game short cut
left click properties left click Compat tab
tick box to "run this program in compat mode" ( Windows XP Service Pack 3)
tick Run this program as an admin
left click apply then ok.
this dose not work the game still wil not run......??
